Foghorns & Sirens: Outpost Adventure

The Foghorns and Sirens: Outpost Adventure is a hands-on, Christ-centered
achievement experience designed to engage boys ages 8–11 in discovering
foundational truths about Jesus through building, creativity, and exploration.

The Outpost Adventure includes separate Builder and Sentinel sections with age-
appropriate achievements. Boys explore how sirens produce sound, identify different
warning signals, investigate lighthouses and complete activities involving emergency
preparedness. Adventures in Action encourage boys to go beyond the meeting through
activities such as visiting a fire station, learning from a meteorologist and researching
historic maritime disasters.

More than simply learning about warning systems, Foghorns & Sirens connects these
lessons to biblical truth. Boys memorize Romans 3:23 and Romans 10:9 as they learn
that sin places us in danger, God gives us warnings through His Word and salvation is
found through faith in Jesus Christ.

Throughout the Outpost Adventure, boys will:

• Build and test model sirens and foghorns
• Explore real-world uses of foghorns and sirens to warn of danger 
• Learn how God’s word alerts us to danger and points us to salvation 
• Apply biblical truths through service, teamwork, and discussion

The guide includes:

Designed to be completed with a Ranger or mentor, this Outpost Adventure encourages
