4 meeting plans to support your Junior and Senior High Men's Ministry.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is
not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices
with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always
perseveres. Love never fails.” — 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a
Introduction: Many teens are experiencing difficult family situations right now. Others need to be ready for potential situations they may soon have to endure in their homes. The realities of overwhelming family life problems deeply affect young people, who are desperately searching for solutions. These four Battalion meetings are designed to provide a safe environment in which boys who may be hurting emotionally can experience some meaningful sharing with peers and leaders who care. We are not trying to suggest any easy answers to their situations. Hopefully, all boys will improve in their listening skills as they hear friends talk about their feelings. We don’t know the future, but perhaps these meetings can help boys be a little more prepared to face real and potential family difficulties. Within the next 10 years many of the Battalion boys will have begun leading their own families. It is essential to provide a good foundation. When these meetings are conducted with sensitivity, the helpful counsel from the Word of God will minister to teens so they can respond to family problems in the strength of the Living Christ.
